Our story began in 2006 when our director, Mark, established the company, and in 2021, his son Connor joined him to take the business forward. Our team has extensive experience in the mortgage and insurance industry, with Mark's career spanning over three decades. Mark started his career in the early 80's working for a local estate agency, progressing into a branch manager role. He then moved into the financial services industry, working for Prudential Assurance Company, before joining a local agency as a mortgage advisor. In 2006, Mark decided to set up Acorn Mortgage Services to provide honest and reliable mortgage and protection advice to his clients.
Connor, Mark's son, joined the company in 2021 and brings a fresh perspective to the business. He started his career in the financial services industry straight from college, working as a mortgage administrator. He progressed to a paraplanning position and later became an advisory role, assisting clients with their mortgage and insurance needs. Connor's knowledge and expertise in the industry have been invaluable in taking the business forward.
